After a Herculean effort, the storage team have finally wrestled the second library into submission.

The Banksia service is now online but is currently in a degraded state. It is running with a single tape library, so the secondary copy will be unavailable for staging or archiving until the second library is returned to service. If you experience any issues please let us know at help@pawsey.org.au.
The issue has been escalated with external support engineering.

Most Pawsey services have been returned to production.
Data services including Banksia, Data Portal and Mediaflux are offline. Pawsey staff are working closely with vendors to bring these services back to researchers. Further updates will be provided through the status page.

Update
Banksia is not yet available as the Library updates are continuing very slowly. This slowness has been escalated with Spectralogic support but it means that at this point Banksia will not yet be available for use until this is remedied.
Despite adding a missing LDAP firewall rule, Mediaflux is still not working properly with LDAP. We have a ticket in with Arcitecta to investigate. This means Mediaflux and therefore Data Portal are currently not available until fixed.

Maintenance will be carried out on Pawsey systems on Tuesday the 3rd March to apply required patches and updates to improve the systems stability, security, and performance. This maintenance window will also be used to undertake other tasks which require down-time to achieve.
Planned work for this window includes:
• Setonix will have the latest bug and security fixes applied from SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 15 SP6.
• The SLURM controller for Setonix will be upgraded to SLURM 24.11.7.
• The NetApp which provides /home for Setonix and ASKAP Ingest will have a firmware update applied.
• The removal of the 2023.08 software stack on Setonix has been postponed to April maintenance.
• Acacia management of logging and DNS will be improved.
• Banksia will have a ScoutAM upgrade performed.
• Banksia tape drives will have their firmware updated.
• Banksia tape libraries will have their firmware updated.
• Data Portal and Mediaflux platform will be migrated to new hardware.
• Patching of core Pawsey services will be undertaken.
